Edgewood Valley Country Club (EVCC or Edgewood Valley) General Manager Paul Geallis, CCM, is celebrating a membership milestone of 40 years in the Club Management Association of America (CMAA).
CMAA is the largest professional association for club management professionals with more than 8,100 members throughout the US and internationally. Geallis, who has served as General Manager for Edgewood Valley since November, 2021, is about to embark on his 36th CMAA conference in February.
“I have always loved being a part of the private club industry because every day is different,” said Geallis. “Working with the staff and the Board to uphold club traditions while navigating through new challenges and ideas makes for a fun and dynamic environment. The CMAA has always provided wonderful opportunities to learn, network and engage through its signature conference and other events throughout the year.”
Geallis graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Stout, with a degree in hospitality and began his private club career with an internship at Twin Orchard Country Club (TOCC). Upon graduating college, he was hired to stay on at TOCC as Assistant Manager. A few years later, Geallis was hired as General Manager at Ravisloe Country Club (RCC), where he remained for 21 years. Following RCC, he served as General Manager at White Eagle Golf Club and Birchwood Club before coming to Edgewood Valley.
